sorry to hear that. At least you have your LO's to enjoy. Happy Mother's Day!
DH said that we are going to do Mother's Day brunch. I also was told that there will be cake and a present, so I am excited.
Added bonus, we already did Mother's Day with my mom and MIL. since they will both be working on the actual day. It will just be us this weekend, which is nice since we both have very rocky relationships with our mothers.
I am guessing that there won't be much going on in our house for mother's day either. DH has an old friend that he hasn't seen in years coming over on Saturday to "catch up", then he planned for another couple to come for dinner and no talk or mention about Sunday. Oh, except for last weekend when my GF asked what we were doing for Mother's Day and DH said, "wait, when is that?"...I am sure he forgot just as quickly as he found out. Just as well, I am hoping to just do some much needed yard work.

No real plans that I know of...DH works in a different city and we are currently with him and were planning to be here through Mother's day...I have a dentist appt on the 15th which means we have to go back to where I'm staying (4 hr drive) friday evening. All I wanted really was to sleep in and hangout with DD and DH. Who knows at this point..I'm trying to change my appt.
I'm not official supposed to be on this board yet but I don't think anyone will get mad
I have hosted Mother's Day dinner for the past few years, last year I said "this is my last one!" We had a Mother's Day dinner out last weekend with my parents, in laws, & grandparents. For this weekend, I don't think DD has anything planned, which is OK with me. Restaurants are always too crowded and it becomes more stressful than anything. I'm just looking forward to a nice day with my DH & DD, hanging out & watching DD crawl around!
Glad to hear I'm not the only one with a low-key Mother's Day. DH is recovering from ACL surgery. (In other words, I'll be pampering him) All of our family is out of town and DD is too young (10 months) to get Mother's day.
I'm doing my first post-pregnancy half marathon (training for a full marathon) on Saturday. I'm actually REALLY thankful that I was able to get back into shape after DD was born. Being able to run 13.1 miles will be celebration enough for me :-)
