I called my clinic twice yesterday to ask why we were scheduled for 3dt instead of a 5dt. The nurse was never avail to talk to me. She called back a 3:30 and left a message with no new info, and no explanation.
So we went in for our 10A transfer today. When we got off the subway, there was a message on my phone from the dr. - he wants to move us to a 5dt. He left the message at 9:45A and our appt was at 10A.
We met with him anyway, and saw the fert report. The good news: out of the 13 eggs retrieved, 8 fertilized. And 5 are looking great! He thinks we'll have at least 3 really good ones for the 5dt! Such good news. I would love to have 1 or 2 to freeze.
He also told me I can stop taking the steroids they had me on. Something else the nurse could have told me, if she was ever available when I call. If this doesn't work, I am moving. I'm fed up with the lack of communication. We're spending thousands of dollars out of pocket at this place, the least they could do is get on the phone.
But I'm super excited for the 5dt on Fri. Fingers crossed!!
Re: Moved to 5dt - still grumpy with my clinic
Yay for a 5dt! Sounds like you've got some good embies and maybe some frosties too!
Have you talked to your RE about the lack of communication (especially from the nurse). I can understand sometimes that the RE may not be available at all times but that is why they give you a nurse to be able to answer basic questions. If your nurse isn't communicating, I would definitely let the RE know. You are right, you are paying way too much for this level of sub-par service.

That sounds frustrating. However, you should be really excited for the 5d transfer. If you have frosties, you might be able to transfer them to another clinic. I know that I can if I ever get any to freeze.
Awesome news about the 5dt! You are doing great.
I would be really pissed about the nurses and lack of communication. I would mention it to your RE, but definitely move on if it comes down to that. Although, I have a great feeling this is gonna work for you!
There are 2 nurses that I can contact at my clinic and 1 RE that does EVERYTHING himself, so there is constant personal communication. I always hear a phone or email response from the nurses between 1-24 hours. These are very important questions you are asking and it is unacceptable how they are not giving you info in a timely manner. I don't know how much you are paying but for my 10K plus, I expect to have all my questions answered.
But, your IVF is going awesome - I am really excited for you!

Ugh about the nurse. You're right, they aren't treating you very well.
Yay! for the 5 good looking embryos and a 5dt. That is a very good sign.
Fingers crossed!
