Well, honestly, this is the best thing I've seen all day. Whether you agree with gay marriage or not is one thing ... But allowing homosexuals will not cheapen the sanctity of marriage any less than our current divorce rate will.
Just saying ...

We lost our first (EDD 07/23/12) after finding out at 12 weeks there was no longer a heartbeat. Our rainbow was born 05/22/13 and was worth all we went through.
“So can you understand? Why I want a daughter while I’m still young?
I wanna hold her hand and show her some beauty before all this damage
is done. But if it’s too much to ask, it’s too much to ask … Then send
me a son.” – Arcade Fire
In my opinion, North Carolina has a long way to go to progress in this area, as do most states. This is also the state were interracial marriage was unlawful until the 1970s! That's pretty shocking when you think about it. Eventually, I think marriage equality will be the norm everywhere. We're not in much better shape here in CA after Prop 8 was passed. But I have a feeling we'll get there, one day.
My personal opinion- if you don't believe in gay marriage, then you probably shouldn't marry someone who is gay.
lol
My opinion only matters if enough people have the same opinion and it can possibly help make these people get their heads out of their asses... and considering i dont live in NC it may matter even less.

There wasn't a "none of the above" so I'll be a special snowflake!
I believe the government shouldn't be involved in marriage at all. I married my husband without a marriage license because that was between him and me, not the government. We vowed to God and eachother before a church full of witnesses that we would be together "till death do us part." God gave us permission to be married so I'm not going to pay a fee to ask the government if it is alright.
Read the constitution. Is granting marriage priviledges a part of the role of government? no.
