AF type cramps around O time...

I've noticed since my MC that I seem to get more AF type cramping around O time.  I know there is the ovulation pain called "Mittelschmerz"  but I thought that was more of pain or a twinge?  So was curious if anyone else had period like cramps around ovulation.  I got a positive OPK yesterday and today the cramps started...maybe I should use it as a good sign and take my DH up on his offer of a Nooner today Wink

    I don't personally cramp during ovulation but I have definately heard of this and I do think it can be like period cramps.  I think you should definately take your DH up on his offer!

    Yes. Fairly heavy AF-like cramps 2-3 days prior to O. A few months ago it was so bad I actually took Tylenol which is rare for me.
    BFP #1, 12/22/09 - DD#1 born 9/2010

    I've had it both ways...sometimes it is cramps that I can localize to a certain side indicating O pain, and sometimes it is more AF-type cramps, though milder.  I'd say a nooner is a good idea ;-)

    This happens to me almost every month.  Sometimes its a one-sided twinge, other times it feels like AF cramping over my whole lower abdomen.  I had it before M/C, and I still have it!

    I get these too!  I also spot just a tiny bit about 3 days before O, and my boobs hurt just a bit.  Def take it as a good sign and take your hubby up on the nooner! haha FUN!!! :)

    Yeah, I get this from time to time. Sometimes instead of or in addition to Mittelscherz. I definitely think your Nooner is a good idea. Happy humping!
