XP Lurker with question

Repost from Breastfeeding

My daughter will be 9 wks this Friday and I'll be going back to work in 2 wks. Right now half of her bottles are bm and the other half are formula. I won't be able to pump once I start back so I'll have to start using my freezer stash. What is the best option... give her 4 bottles/day of bm for a month or 2 bottles/day of bm for 2 months. What is more important- amount per day or length of time.

My guy has major blow outs if he gets too much formula in one day if we have to supplement.. one bottle is safe..anymore than that and it could/and does get nasty down there lol.

It really depends on your LO and only you know what will work best for you.

  • I personally would Think length of time but I have nothing to back that up with. I'm just guessing some is better than none so spreading it out makes the benefits last longer.
