I think WCM is constipating DD, I've had a few diapers that were just small balls. What can I give her to help things move along? Should I just try watered down juice?
DD1 has this issue sometimes, and our go-to is always watered down apple juice. About 4oz juice to 4-5 oz water. If that doesn't work, we try "p" fruits - prunes, pears, pumpkin.

Okay, my LO has been constipated for about 4 months now. After trying everything, we finally had to take him to a GI doctor and we finally figured out the problem. But here is all the things you can try:
Pureed prunes, apples, and pears.
Take out cereal and foods that can cause constipation such as mashed potatoes, sweet potatoes, bananas, etc.
Prune, apple, and pear juice. Atleast 2 oz a day.Mix it with water.
Make sure they are getting enough liquids. (Not enough can cause the colon to use all the water in the stool causing hard stools). They need at least 16 oz a day.
A old wives tale is a spoon full of Karo syrup will clean them right out.
If they need help pushing out a stool, then Vaseline applied with a q-tip helps.
A suppository should be the last resort so they dont rely on it to go the restroom.
If none of that works, then its another issue such as withholding.
Our Pedi gave us the go ahead on watermelon at his 9 month appointment and so far this has worked better for his constipation than anything we'd tried before. He loves it, but we only give it to him every few days because it works so well.
Other than that I agree with prunes or pears, those worked ok for us.
Re: Whats the best constipation remedy??
prune juice with water (1/1 oz)
puree prunes
pear juice with water (1/1oz)
puree pear
up water intake (sippy) if possible

Papaya, prune or pear puree and Kefir.
Ripe Papaya puree is #1 for my DD.
HTH!

Reese LOVES pureed prunes on toast--that is my go to for breakfast if I know that she is having trouble going to the bathroom.
Yep, prunes and lots of water.
