I prefer Collin. The double L makes the O a short O. When it's spelled Colin, that O is more ambiguous (is it short? is it long?) and makes me think "colon" every time I see it.

I love Collin too, but looking online says that the "right" way to spell it is Colin. Somewhere it said that when its used in the US, the more common spelling is Collin so I think we'll go with that if we end up choosing this name.

I've only seen this name spelled Colin IRL. The only time I have seen Collin was on a French boy with a French pronunciation that I can't figure out how to write phonetically, but the emphasis was strongly on the second syllable.
