Success after IF

Dr SAIF...help needed

Last Sunday, not the one we just had but the one before, I started having bad cramping. They were coming in waves...id have a group of really bad ones followed by nothing. This lasted 15 mins or so.  Then started again, the same thing.  We were on the way to church and continued to go, but had to leave after a short while bc I felt so bad.

Since then I have had severe nausea, vomiting and/or diarrhea everyday. I had my 37 1/2 week apt, and was vomiting in the room when my OB came in, she ordered a number of tests, and called yesterday afternoon to say they all came back negative, that it must be a bacteria in my "gut". I am to return a poop (sooo sorry for the TMI nature of this post) tomorrow. I just don't think it has anything at all to do w me being sick, my instinct is telling me it is related to my pregnancy. She tested my liver enzymes and said they were not elevated so she didn't think it was pre-eclampsia. I'm so confused. I just cannot keep vomiting everyday. My body is exhausted, I am so miserable I just don't know what else I should do. Anyone else experience these types of things toward the end of their pregnancy?

  • i'm sorry you're feeling so bad! i haven't heard of anything like this at the end of pregnancy. i would really keep pushing your doctor to figure it out and not shrug it off as a bug or something if your instincts are telling you that it's something pregnancy-related. is your baby being monitored closely? stress tests and stuff?

  • I am so sorry hon! I can't imagine how awful you must feel with stomach symptoms on top of being 38 weeks pregnant! I agree with Perry. If you really feel like something is wrong, push your doctor. Also, make sure you are trying to stay hydrated. Hope you feel better soon!!!
