I hate my BOB stroller. What am I doing wrong?

We got a BOB revolution on craigslist and it's in great shape. I love how easy it is to push vs. the crappy snap & go frame for the car seat. I know you can't jog with them till they are 8 months, but the instruction manula says walking is OK at 8 weeks. Our son is almost 3 months, has good head control and is giant (16 lb) so we've been trying to figure it out, but every position I can figure out to put him in looks SO uncomfortable, and he HATES being in it.

He looks soooo scrunched up - the stroller seat area seems a little curved, so there isn't really a good "seat" and he seems to slide down, so that the only thing keeping him positioned are the totalyl uncomfortable-looking straps. What am I doing wrong? Or do I have to wait till he can sit up better on his own? Now that the sunshine is here he's not too happy in carriers because he gets so hot, but I'm itching to get outside!

I don't know anything about your stroller, but my ped said not to use a stroller (without the car seat) until she could sit up on her own.

At 3 months, he should really only be in there when the stroller is at a full recline. You may also want to use a snuzzler or something like that to keep him in the right position.

DS is 3 months old and we love our BOB.  But I can't imagine using it without the carseat and adapter.  I just don't think babies that little can support themselves that well in the regular part of the BOB stroller until they're older.  I don't know what kind of car seat you have or what year your stroller is, but I'd look at getting a car seat adapter.  I know the 2011 models only work with Graco, Chicco and Peg Perego car seats and you have the buy the adapter that works with your specific carseat.

Ugh, so we ended up selling ours when our son was 13 months old because he HATED sitting in it. He wanted to sit upright, and Bobs don't sit upright. It's the most annoying thing ever that they don't have an option to-- I know it's a jogging stroller, but can't they make the Revolution model to have more options? It's the best stroller ever, with that little caveat. We actually have a double now because my older son is sort of ok with it now that he's 2 and it really is the only good option for two kids for long walks. It just totally bugs me.

My baby is 4 months and I push her around fine.  The straps keep her in a good position.  I will try to send you a picture.

I LOVE LOVE LOVE ours but my LO is 4 months 1 week and we still have him in the car seat in it. Just this morning I was reading posts that babies are in the actual stroller already so I tried to put him in there and I realized there's just no way he's going in there for a long time. He's just too small. I will say he fusses a little more these days than he used to during our run/ walks. I'm not sure if it's the position OR that he gets hot in the car seat OR that he's just an active little guy and wants to be held and stand up, etc. Or maybe a little of all? I do plan on getting the fleece liner once I get closer to putting him in the stroller part (hopefully that won't make it too hot for him).

Ok, that all helps... The stroller is older and though it came with an "infant car seat adapter" I don't think it works w the seat we have. Oh well! Back to walks with the snap and go, at least for this summer!

We got out BOB a month or so ago.  I called BOB and asked about my carseat and found out my carseat is not compatible.. The lady asked me how old LO was and she told me she had heard of parents putting 8-9 week olds in without. So we tried it.

We put in a head support and also little soft puppy covers on the straps.  In the beginning I also laid the back all the way down.  We have had no problems!!  I love how much easier it is to push and LO has been doing great. Just last week I put the back up a little more so she could see better (she as great head support already).  I have not taken her running or anything too bumpy. I love our BOB so far!
