OPKs and EWCM . .

I use an OPK and had a positive last week on CD 21 but having EWCM today??? Is it possible to have a positive OPK and not O? and if I'm Oing soon and it's CD 29 WTH?? Last cycle I O'd on CD 12.

    Yes you can have +OPK and no O, the OPK just detects the LH surge before you O. You can have the surge without the O for various reasons. Your safest bet would be to go ahead and BD just to be sure. I also would start charting so you can tell for sure if you O'd or not. Don't stress too much about your cycles, they may be crazy for a while. If you are worried though, call your Dr. Good luck!

    An OPK shows you when your LH surges. It is very possible to have an LH surge, and +OPK, but then not O. Also, your cycles can be very, very weird after a loss. The blog (link in the board header as well as a few ladies siggy's), as well as fertilityfriend.com have some very useful info re OPK's and Oing.

    My last cycle I did not get a positive OPK, but I had tons of EWCM. I am with MheMhe, sometimes cycles are just weird.

    You can also get ewcm in the LP. I get it a day or two before AF arrives and have also had it with all my BFP cycles. The only way to know for sure you O'ed is to chart though. GL!
