yep, mine have it. i had a feeling bc over the last few days they got a rash that wasnt going away, and my little one starting pooping after every feeding..and the other one wasnt going at all. two symptoms that my son presented with before he had the full on green mucus/bloody poops.
i took them in today and had to get a steroid cream for their rash, and had their pooped looked at which tested positive for blood. ugh! i feel mad that i didnt catch it sooner although i only really noticed problems over the past few days. and their weight was still crazy good, unlike my son's who's weight kind of leveled off for a month before we figured out the problem. - that was around 4 months though, my twins are only almost 7 weeks.
im really sad that i cant bf anymore...it was going so well and i was starting to tandem feed them more and i just loved it and so did they. but i dont want to even mess around with elmininating dairy bc that didnt work with my son - at least he was still struggling after 2-3 weeks. i just dont want to put my babies through any more struggles with this and the change is amazing on the alimentum formula. - which btw is $26 a can. luckily our insurance covers itor partially covers it if we get a script.
BUT im still sad about the not being able to bf anymore : (
Re: milk allergy (or protein intolerance) : (
A friend of mine had twin boys on the Alimentum, and they actually got a lot of it through E-bay. But - we also have formula covered by insurance, so I know what a blessing that is.
