Trouble TTC

Finally a great ultrasound!

So after talking to you girls last week regarding my RE and the lack of followup I got a clear as day OPK+ this morning (never got one that was way positive so that made me happy). I called and they got me in right away for an ultrasound. The nurse said my last ultrasound she wanted to see atleast 18mm follicles and the biggest one they found was only 15mm so I was scared at what they might find on this one even with the increase of Clomid.

The u/s tech was the same one as last time which I was happy about and quickly turned the screen and smiled when she found my first follicle on my right side and said "28mm now thats a great follicle" then she looked at my left ovary and say "27mm isn't bad either". Last time I ovulated on my left so hoping the 28 follicle and another 18mm follicle will be good enough.

This is where I need advice. My RE nurse told me 2 dates to come in for progesterone draw one on 7dpo and 10dpo. She said the 7dpo is optional but the 10dpo is the important one. This is my first time doing this so should I go to both or just the one? I know they are looking at progesterone so are they looking at if its to low and I need supplements? They are still making me to HCG shots at 3,6,9dpo but now doing 130ml instead of just the 100ml.

Really hoping this is my cycle so keeping fingers crossed. Thanks girls in advance for the advice.

Re: Finally a great ultrasound!

  • A blood draw is so quick and relatively non-invasive (and probably cheap, and cheaper still if you're insured), that I see almost no downside to going in at both 7DPO and 10DPO. More information is rarely a bad thing.
