1st lost tooth!

My almost 6 year old (her b-day is next month) lost her 1st loose tooth this morning.  She is so excited!  It has been loose for a while but when we checked it last night, I knew it was going to come out anytime.  This morning, I checked again and it was barely holding on so I had my DH pull it - it didn't take much at all.  We gave DD her brand new tooth fairy pillow that a friend of mine had made for her.  She can put that under her pillow tonight (or is has a ribbon so she can hang it on the handle of her night stand) and the tooth fairy will make the 1st of many visits to our house tonight.  My little girl is really growing up now!  We have her Kindergarten Bridge event tonight and she is just over the moon today!  She ran into her PreK class this morning all smiles so everyone can see the hole in her mouth!

  • So exciting! DD#1 lost her first tooth last week and the one right next to it is super loose as well so I am just waiting for that one to come out. Literally within two days she lost her first tooth, got invited to her first classmate birthday party, and DH took the training wheels off her bike. Someone hold me. My baby is growing up so fast!

  • Yay!  DD lost her first tooth just over a month before her 6th birthday--and her second tooth ON her birthday.

I just remember looking at it when it came out and getting sort of nostalgic--I remember when she worked SO hard GETTING the tooth. Time flies!

  • Aw - exciting! So what will the tooth fairy be leaving in her pillow?

I think $2.  DD went on and on about the tooth fairy leaving her toys a few weeks back (guessing that is what a classmate got) but this tooth fairy is old fashioned and doesn't need any more toys in the house!  I am thinking $2 for the 1st one and then $1 for each after.
