I just started using a snappi and I'm having problems getting the middle piece to stay, the diaper is held together without it, so I'm not even sure why it is there. But it really annoys me that it won't stay down... am I doing something wrong? It's supposed to be sides first then the middle correct?

I attach each side and then pull the center piece down and fasten it so it's like a Y. Try looking at a YouTube video for a visual. HTH!

Are you making sure the teeth are grabbing the material? Is it only with one snappi? For some reason I had one snappi that gave me fits, and the others all worked without a problem.

Ditto pp. Make sure that it's really grabbing the material. Even with my terry diapers that are fluffier, I still have to make sure that it's grabbed the material or it just doesn't work.

Try pulling it down farther. There has to be tension, or that bottom one will just hang there. My DH never pulls it hard enough, he's scared of poking their balls :P (which it won't, BTW, it only hooks in the fabric.)
