Summer Infant handheld video monitor ?

The post below reminded me of a question I have about this monitor...

For those of you who have one, does it make a loud static noise every few minutes?  I'm not talking about a constant static/white noise, but more of a loud noise that would wake you up.  I was thinking about calling the company about it, but thought I'd see if anyone else has the same problem.

sometimes i get this if the cord is in a weird position.  sometimes i get it more if my door and the baby's door is shut.  (only when we had company). 

it's not too often tho.  also does it when the battery seems to be dying.

I've never had any constant issues like that... more on an occasional basis.

 

It might be due to bad reception or some kind of interference.... maybe a neighbor's monitor or something in your house.

sometimes, you just have to adjust the direction it's facing sometimes or turn it down a bit.

Yes. It mostly happens when it gets interference from some other electronic device like a cell phone, laptop or cordless phone.
