I have been off work since week 38.

    1) the nursery is complete

    2) The house is clean

    3) My veggie garden is well on its way- potatoes, onions, strawberries & broccoli in the ground

    4) I organized my clothes and closet

    5) I also organized my bathroom cupboard

I still need to put grass seed down & plant some flowers, pull a few more weeds and mulch.

I can't think of anything else that I should get done. I am trying to keep myself busy to keep from going stir crazy. I just want my baby here already :)

MAN, I wish this were me!  Our house is still a disaster. :-(  We still need to organize our kitchen, replace all of our windows (plus two doors) and get shutters (these will happen after baby arrives, unfortunately), get more of our art framed to hang up, and clear out a TON of clutter that I'm supposed to go through and get rid ASAP.

We also need to paint the exterior of our house, do our landscaping, etc.-- but at this point, we're just happy that the inside of the house is painted, the wooden floors have been refinished, our tiling is done in the bathrooms and kitchen, some art is up, and our nursery furniture is at least assembled/most of the baby stuff is washed.

The upside is we've made a ton of progress (the house was disgusting when we got it), and we WILL get there.  We're just going to need every second until baby comes to get everything ready (or at least as ready as we're going to be).

  • Nothing really. I just don't have the motivation. But, yesterday, I put the crib together, put the swing together, hung the decorations...and today I packed my bag. I'm exhausted.

Mom not worried about feeling overwhelmed when he gets here. They're easy at the beginning. It's when they get mobile it's a challenge!

  • I haven't been nesting yet but I'm hoping the urge hits soon!  Meanwhile, I've been forcing myself to do some general spring cleaning and organizing.  I've gone through the closets, laundry room, kitchen cabinets, and we've rearranged the living room.  We still need to do a lot though:

-finish the nursery - we just painted this weeknd so now we have to build the furniture and get everything washed and organized

-rearrange and clean our bedroom - find a spot for the bassinet

    -wash windows

    -wash walls

-plant veggie garden on May Long weekend (hopefully it's nice enough and baby hasn't come by then)

-one last good clean of the house and mow/trim in the yard - I'd like to do this as close to baby as possible, but I'm not sure how I'll time that just right

I don't have the stir crazy feeling yet but I'm still at work (2 weeks left).  I've only got 3 weeks and 1 day until my due date but, at this point, I hope he stays in there that long or more.

ETA:  We also need to clean out both vehicles and install the carseat bases.  And, if at all possible, I'd like to steam-clean the furniture.

Today was my first day of ML.  I vacuumed everything I could, dusted everything, washed my sheets, swept and made dinner.  lol

    Still on my list...
    - car seat inspection
    - clean out car (and throw hospital bags in car)
    - grocery shop
    - and have this baby!
    Baby Birthday Ticker Ticker
  • This past weekend... I decided to weed the back yard garden bed (it is a very large bed). It took me three hours with DH's help. He kept asking me to stop but I just had to do it...

Why? Because you can't have a baby with weeds in your back yard. Duh? Stick out tongue

I plan on scrubbing the kitchen today.
