I'm just curious whether the people on this board show a correlation between IF treatments and more pregnancy complications. I did IVF and had a bunch of issues, so I'm just curious what your experience was. [Poll]
I did not do IF treatments but had some complications. Some were related to a multiple pregnancy, others would have been an issue regardless (ex: I had preexisting fibroids, one large).
ETA: I voted for no IF treatments, yes complications...
I think also, the vast majority of mo/di and mo/mo moms are non-IFers and prone to an increased risk of pregnancy complications specifically related to twins. That was my case at least. Everything going wrong was related to the fact that they shared one placenta.
No IF treatments, spontaneous di/di twins. But I had a pretty serious complication when I developed peri-partum cardiomyopathy and congestive heart failure and wound up in the ICU 4 days after delivering my girls. They think the stress of the multiples pregnancy on my body either caused the weakness in my heart or exacerbating a previously undiscovered weakness.

I did IUI and did go into PTL, so that's what I voted for. However, It could have been way worse. After I went into PTL they stopped the contractions and I still made it to 37w4d!
After 2 years, Injects, PCOS diagnosis and 2 IUI's, we were blessed with our beautiful twin girls! Baby Girl #3!
We did several rounds of clomid that didn't produce a pregnancy. We were blessed with spontaneous ID twins many months after; we had serious complications.

I?m SS bc YES we did IVF but we had ZERO problems at all until my water broke on its own at 33 weeks. So while there was no issues I did have a problem at the end......

While there is a correlation between some causes of IF, treatments and complications in some cases, IF treatments result in a high rate of multiples, which in turn have a higher rate of complications.
We are unexplained and have only been pg from IVF. I had complications starting at 19 weeks w/the twins, which may or may not have been caused by the things that we do know about, a uterine malformation and low P4, but were likely exacerbated by carrying multiples.

Re: Clicky poll: whether or not you had pg complications
I guess I'm a SS.

No IF treatments here, but I've had a pretty complicated pregnancy, even with my girls being di/di.
I've been in PTL off and on since 25 weeks, which has landed me on bed/pelvic rest and taking Procardia four times a day. I also have GD.
