Doula?

I am looking to try for a vbac in August , but think I could really benefit from a doula. Can anyone give me a idea of what it costs?  I'm sure they all differ, but I'm just looking for a range.

They really do range -  in Dallas in 2009 I paid $800 for an experienced doula.

I paid $700 in Ann Arbor, MI for a doula with 5+ years experience four years ago, and then $1000 in Chicago for one with 15+ experience, who was also almost done with midwifery school.

Set up some interviews, ask around or look on your local ICAN mailing list if you have one. The price really depends on experience and where you live.

I'm in NB Canada and the average here seems to be about $600. But it also depends what you hire them to do, pre natal, post natal, during labor, only during, only before and during..
