My story. A little long.

On Tuesday April 17 I went into my MFM for my weekly stress test at 35w4d, everything checked out fine but I was having contractions every 12 minutes. After that appointment I had my OB appointment. I went upstairs, still having contractions to get checked up on. My bloodpressure was more elevated than it ever has been during this pregnancy. I told my OB i've been having contractions all morning but not very regular from what I could tell. She checked my cervix and I was dilated to 5cm and 80% effaced. Wow. I was shocked because the week before I was just 2cm and 60% effaced and I didnt think I was having enough contractions to really do anything. So, my OB said "Are you ready to have some babies today". I was shocked and started to shake and get excited. I wasn't expecting for them to keep me. She sent me to L&D.

Once I got downstairs I tried to call my husband but he wouldn't answer!! lol I was freaking out that i'd go quick and have to do this on my own. When I checked in it was about 11am. At 12 my OB came down and broke my water I was still 5cm and a little more effaced. 4pm came around and the nurse checked me and I was 9cm, she told me that she'd be back in 30 minutes to check me again and if I need anything to call her. She walked out of the room and as soon as she did, I had the urge to push! I called her asap and she was back in and checked me and said "yep, your ready!" My OB was called and they were rushing around trying to get things settled in to bring me to the OR to start pushing, I was freaking out cause I HAD to push!

DH was ready to go in all dressed up so cute in his scrubs. lol. I saw my OB rushing to get dressed and rushing to get things going. They got me laid in there, it was scary for me. A white room with the utensils and everything ready to go incase I need a Csect.. I was in the room for 15 min and Breydon was born at 4:23pm weighing 5lbs10oz and 18in long. At 4:30pm Brooklyn was born weighing 4lbs13oz and 17.5in long. The NICU team checked them out and I got to hold them for a quick minute then they were taken away to be monitored.

They both were great they were on the incubator for less than 12 hours and got vapotherm for their lungs which was amazing! After that they were put on oxygen and slowly weaned off. After 10 days in the NICU they were able to come home!! Life has been crazy this last week with 4 kids and I'm exhausted.
