What to serve for lunch after baptism?

We're having DS baptized in 2 weeks and are having cake and a light lunch at our house afterward, but I have no idea what to serve for lunch.  Any ideas for something inexpensive and "light"? TIA!

  • you could just do sub sandwiches and side salads.

we did some pasta and baked chicken with a salad

  • I would probably do some deli meat and cheese trays with a few different types of bread, and maybe a pasta salad or tossed salad or both.

  • We did soup and sandwich.  Chili, cheesy broccoli, chicken noodle, breads, crackers, meat, and cheese.

  • We had a luncheon. Started with nice cheese and crackers (and mimosas of course!). Chicken salad with nice bread/rolls. Orzo salad with shrimp and dill. Fresh tomatoes with basil. And had a couple of pies for dessert, coconut cream and berry.
  • I like the soup/bread/roll idea....especially since it's cooling down here.  Something different and "light". Think I'll still do meat/cheese tray with crackers though too.
