I was told that I was "trashy" for having 2 so close together. How does being married and having children make a person "trash". I'm so sick of the judgement and abuse from it. I could never imagine speaking to another adult the way some do. Have any of you other ladies fallen victim?

I've been told that "I am ambitious," "I apparently like a challenge," or "DH doesn't waste any time," or "oopsy." It's frustrating! 1st off, I'm not a spectacle so please stop staring, 2ndly having 2 13.5 months apart does not entitle too to ask any question you want to me. 3rdly DH and I planned DS. We wanted them close. Why does that make us crazy? Plenty of people have done this!! Being told you are trashy is just ridiculous!! I'd be so pissed!

If someone called me trashy, I'd call them jealous and reply "Don't hate".

I've gotten A LOT of comments, but never trashy, I don't think  I could have held my tongue on that one.  I can't even imagine in what context that would seem even plausible.  I'm sorry people are just plain stupid!

"trashy" doesn't even make sense.  This person sounds to be closed minded, judgmental, and a bit dimwitted.  Try not to waste your thoughts or energy on someone like that.

My own mother has yet to congratulate me- she keeps saying, "you'll really have your plate full."..... it's just so annoying and stings!

A women I work with didn't tell anyone she was PG with #2 till she was almost 7 months(she was a big girl, so no one could tell) because she was worried people would think this about her. Her kids are 18 month apart! And it took a ton of medical intervention for her #1, so the fact that #2 happened on his own....wonderful!!

 

Now I'm in her shoes and I understand why she hid it as long as she could. I'm starting to show, so I'm telling at the end of this week, but I totally get her fear, even though this one was planned!

It may be my hormones, but if someone called me trashy for having two close together, they would probably be eating knuckle sandwich for lunch! 

The one I am getting a lot of (which annoys the crap out of me!!) is "Well, I guess now you know where babies come from!"  Really?  Really?! Because I had no idea when I had the first baby!!!
