My friend sent me an email this week telling me about how her pregnancy is going and what they're going to name the little girl. She then asked me if I was pregnant yet because "it's this month or next, right?". I got married 8 months after her and then had my DS 8 months after she had her DS so we always joke about me being 8 months behind.
I haven't responded yet because I don't want to think about how I'm NOT pregnant. I guess I'm just thinking about it a lot today and getting sad about it... I guess I'll have to respond sometime soon. On a bright note, I made the birthday banner and moustaches for DS's birthday party and it turned out pretty darn good if I may say so myself. Distraction is key....
Re: Not wanting to reply
Her post says she has a baby, too. a son who will be having a moustache party. She is TTC a second baby.
Yes.. we are TTC number 2 quickly due to age and having Multiple Sclerosis.
First of all-- I think it is really smart of you to wait until you're ready/in a good place. That shows that you are a really great friend.
As a good friend, I'm sure she will recognize if you are hesitant and can't immediately reply with excitement. I bet she also is trying to be positive with how she talks to you, as well, both about her pregnancy and your future #2.
This is hard enough without the added stress of MS-- and MS is hard enough without the added stress of TTC > 35.
Hang in there. ((hugs))
