Ok, my daughter just developed a ring rash around her anus. I'm wondering if this is because we added milk to her diet. What does a milk allergy rash look like?
Thanks in advance for your assistance.
If the house ain't burned down and the baby's fed it was a successful day.
DS had this for a few days too...I did see it go away when I didn't give him yogurt or cottage cheese for a few days. That being said, I did re-introduce those foods again to see if it would reappear and it didn't. So I'm guessing it wasn't the cause?
I would try eliminating the dairy to see if it goes away?
For DS1 our dairy allergy was very serious--- and it was on the face and neck--very itchy/raised bumps--- horribly scary. I don't recall any diaper rashes.
we had a rash like that once, but it was from her eating a lot of acid (a whole clementine for breakfast every day for a week!)
We are just now going through this too, we just started adding WCM to bottles (1oz per bottle) last week and she developed a bad diaper rash. We took her to the pedi (thinking it was the dairy), but they said it was acid. (I had been feeding her strawberries daily). We laid off the strawberries and continued with WCM and now the rash is gone.
DS gets GI issues with dairy, but also gets the allergy ring. I'd try dropping the dairy until it clears up and then give it another try. Like PPs said, it could be an acid issue as well, which is quite common.
Re: Dairy rash - anyone have one
