What is going on this weekend?

Re: Weekend plans

  • Fri: Home after getting Ky. I want to go grocery shopping tonight so I do not have to drag Ky out in the possible rain tomorrow to do it.

Sat: Cleaning and baking. We are having some friends over for dinner. I am sure they will stay to play pool after since we have not seen them in about a month.

Sun: Pictures with Ky and her two cousins for mother's day for Ann's mom and grandmas. Dinner out before our friend M returns up north maybe?

  • This morning we are taking Owl in for a forensic exam and possibly head xrays, should be interesting.  I will probably do movie night with the kids tonight.

I don't know what J's schedule is like this weekend so I may be alone with the kids for the mostpart.  Maybe I will put together a little cheater garden (not from seed but buy the plants and plant them).  If J has a day off, I'm sure we will spend it with the IL's.

  • L informed me she's cooking dinner for me tonight! :)

Sat--foster parent walk (raise awareness) and meet up with some other foster parents. Then, a wedding shower, and bachelorette party.  (I'm bringing Punkin to the shower--the bride said "you better" and just going out for 2 hours while gramma and grampa spoil him)

Sun--pick some paint colors for upstairs and get some things ready....  Never ending to-do list...

  • Fri: Lovely laundry in the a.m. then off to visit our friend and her wife in the hospital that just had twin boys.  This makes kids 4 and 5 for them.  DW told me to take a pill or something before we go so I don't get baby fever=) (We are trying to decide if we would like 1 more so this is a topic that comes up for us every so often because a lot of our friends think we are crazy for wanting more=) DW and I are having date night so we are going to walk downtown to a new wine bar then get dinner some place.

Sat:  Walk to the Farmer's Market, then home for our little Cinco de Mayo bbq and a nap for DW that will be working.  I hope that it's a quiet night for her, with all this occupy Oakland stuff going on and the festivities of the day/night it may get kinda crazy.

Sunday: May visit with a friend I have not seen in a while before taking the kids to visit my mom.  Hope to come back in time to see DW before she heads to work.  At least next week is her short week (only works 2 days) so we will do more activities with the kids then.

    Have a great weekend!

  • Today:  Cleaning and running errands.  Maybe garage-sale-ing?  Working on foster paperwork.

Saturday:  Breakfast with parents, then all four of us are getting finger-printed for DCS.  After that, menu planning and grocery shopping.  Foster paperwork.

Sunday: Perhaps visit with K's parents and/or a high school friend of hers.  She offered to give us some baby loot :) Foster paperwork.

We're trying to get licensed by June, so lots to do!

Tonight is the kids' first t-ball game. It isn't until 6pm so it will be a late night. I am praying that the predicted rain/storms hold off because they are SO excited.

Tomorrow - the kids have swimming lessons and then they are getting haircuts. Two boys from their class are coming over for a playdate. L is going to take our cat to the vet because his peeing outside the litter box is getting worse and worse (and I am getting more and more frustrated.) After the playdate and when L gets home with Simon, we are going to a surprise open house/birthday party for a good friend.

Sunday errands probably in the morning and then I have to go to a reception for work. I really really hate to have to get dressed up and go smack during the middle of the day, but it is expected. I think L will take the kids back to the outlets because Gray's new Stride Rites are falling apart after 1 week. Perhaps grilling out for dinner and getting ready for the week.

Fri: EV and I went to the DMV to change our last names on our DL's.  Then grabbed Noah's bagels and went off to work.  Tonight, probably leftovers and maybe a movie or tv. I would love to get my weekend cleaning done tonight so I don't have to worry about it later.

Sat:  Hopefully we'll hear back on the offer we put in a couple of days ago. The suspense is killing us, and today EV jumped back on Redfin to find new houses, just in case this offer isn't accepted. FX though.  Nothing much else planned, maybe go out to the movies, or try to catch up with friends?  Or more driving around looking at houses in the SF North and East Bay like the last few weekends...

Sun:  Take my 2 hour final and hopefully be done with school (well on break at least) until the fall or maybe even the winter.  I love school but I feel like it's been non-stop since I was a kid. Wait it has!!!  lol :-)  I also need an outfit that makes my very pregnant self look slim and professional for an interview with my old boss next week. I would love to go back, and a potentially flexible schedule would be a dream come true for EV and I and our childcare woes... So we'll see.

Fri: I left work a bit early. Helped K sort through some papers (what should be thrown out, what should be taken to the new house), then went to dinner at a friend's house. Had a great time - J was his charming self.

    Sat: Packing, packing, packing. Painting?

    Sun: Moving!
