preeclampsia

So on Tuesday I went in for a regular OB visit, while there they discovered protein in my urine and elevated BP. My doctor then sent me to hospital to be admitted, I was then given the 24 hr urine collection, and it was discovered next day that I indeed had preeclampsia. So my doctor would like me to stay in the hospital on bedrest until delivery of my twin girls, which they would like me to get to 36 weeks. I currently 35 weeks. I have been in the hospital 3 days now, and starting to feel antsy, I  am so ready to meet my girls but at the same time understand they need to cook as long as possible. Just taking one day at a time.

Sounds like me - I was admitted at 35 weeks for Pre-E... things did not get much better once I was admitted and they were born at 35 weeks 2 days, everyone is healthy and happy now.  Amelia had an 11 day NICU stay, but Ellie was fine and was only in the regular nursery.  Good luck!  They will be here soon!

I spent 9 days in the hospital, so I get the antsy, I delivered my girls at 35w4d due to pre-e, and the only reason one of my girls had NICU time was spina bifida. The other roomed in and was great from the get. Hang in there: you are so close to having your babies in your arms!

I went through the same!  At 34 wks, I found I had HBP bc I tested at home, and confirmed at L&D.  I was admitted for 3 days, and was sent home to collect a 2nd 24 hr urine test.  The 2nd test discovered the protein.  At 35.5 wks, the BP continued to increase, and based on size of babies, OB decided to deliver me!  Hope you can cook your girls a bit longer!
