Yeah, I never claimed to have the technical knowledge. That's not really my bag, just like writing and interpersonal skills aren't yours.I don't even know what a server looks like, and I'm pretty ok with that. I picture a closet in your house that has a big robot in it that you go hang out in every day, reading through people's old chat logs trying to find a sliver of something you can use against them. Good luck finding something for me.

I just want to point something out here - when asked why you shut the site down, you either repeatedly dodge the question, or say it was too much work and blah blah. And that you don't care. And yet you're sitting on all the content, curating it, stroking it, paying money to keep it... 

I thought I had a pretty good handle on your psychotic tendencies. I was wrooooooong!

Actually, the domain is set for auto-renew.   However, since I'm sure you lack the technical knowledge to understand this I'll happily explain.  Having a domain doesn't mean you have a site.  It means you have a web address for a site.  You need a server, a DNS... , to make the site appear on the internet. 

I possess that in the form of a year contract with GoDaddy at the current time.  That will expire (soon), but all information is simultaneously backed up on Techguy's server once a week, so in case we had a data loss through GoDaddy, we had a backup.  As you recall, the red dots were never-ending because there was always constant posting, so it needed frequent backups. 

So... the domain will auto-renew because I don't mind paying the $8.95 or whatever it is.   The DNS will be redirected to his server instead of GoDaddy.  The data will never go away.  It will always be there. 

One good thing is, the backups didn't overwrite the state of the site on the date I shut it down.  I had a backup performed then to preserve ALL of the existing threads, chats, etc.  So, even the posts that I removed for people since the site was closed... they are all still there.  And, unless you possess some kind of super leet hacker skills, I don't think you can get into Techguy's server to delete it.  

Sorry.  It doesn't just *poof*.  Hell, I could buy a new domain and send the whole forum there.  It's really easy if you have someone that knows how to do it. 

So until the end of time you will be hanging this threat of showing the world what we wrote a year ago?  I just wanted to make sure that I'm clear on that.  Emjay, you and I have never had any beef with eachother and I'll openly admit that I had your back quite a few times on here.  I'm just really tired of the threats.  If you want to post it all then post it all.  I don't really care, but I'm tired of people having to live in any type of fear over it.  Does anyone deserve to have any of their dirty laundry thrown out on the front yard for all to see over this though,  I mean really.  I have a lot of shlt on my IRL highschool friends that I'm not friends with anymore.  Those secrets died with our friendship reguardless of what they have done or will do to me.  Me=bigger person.

Write one of your creative writing experiments about anything other than me, and no one would care.   I get attention.  I always have.  You must thrive on attention, but you can't get it without talking about me. 

That is the problem we have here.  Not that you said anything important.  Just that you continue to post about me at all.  It's confounding, to be quite honest.  For a group of women who want me to go away, you lap it up like dogs when I'm around.

I'm not paying anything to maintain it.  The hosting contract was paid in advance.  Do you think Paul will charge me to store the data?  No.  I will pay to renew the domain so you can't go buy it and squat there or something.  That is all.

Trust me Rim, no one is more tired of the threads than I am.  That's the truth.  I left BGP and the bump.  I keep being called back here.  Why?  Because they need something to focus on?  How about their jobs, or the stack of dishes in the sink, or maybe playing with their kid? 

Do people deserve to have their laundry aired?  Quite possibly not.  But, I'm thinking that everyone that thinks Kate is a big hero because she sits there for hours trying to type something to be funny should realize that she is not doing anything but stirring the pot.  

There are plenty of people that have distanced themselves from her, at least privately.  I've gotten some messages letting me know they want no part of her postings and that they just want peace.  Those people won't be affected.  But the idiots that ride the bandwagon... I owe them nothing.  

Kate continues to (all on her own) make thread after thread.  CinemaGoddess asked a simple question over a week ago.  I heard about the thread, and her question was harmless enough.  But the sheeple had to run to the post.  And the biggest sheeple of all (kate) was all "zomg!!  now is my chance to get some attention!!!"  It took her a few days to make the post so she sat there working on it.  How sad is that? 

I would happily revert back into the sunset if people would just let the past remain the past.

Go back and read the other 10 threads.  "I can't believe she's not here yet."  "Maybe if we say her name three times we can get her to show up"  "Someone turn off the lights and say her name in the mirror, and she should pop up."  Yes, you all made stupid comments about my absence, but I wasn't here because I didn't care to be.  But it seemed like people wanted me back here pretty damn bad, so whatever.  Careful what you wish for.

Actually if memory serves me right some people were saying your narcissistic personality would bring you back here if your name was mentioned. Most people, including myself, didn't believe that would be the case if you were done with these people. Nor did I care, because again, I didn't know you are the parties involved. I am completely confused by this situation.  I don't even think that this is the kind of history I want to catch up on, because it seems a lot of people have been hurt on both sides.  But it seems to me a lot of this would be avoided if people just move on from what sounds like a really crappy situation.

Here's what I've gathered.  A bunch of people hung out here and then went to an offboard.  They became close and shared a lot of information.  Some drama ensued and the site was closed.  People got hurt and friendships suffered or were broken. 

To me that sounds like something I would go out of my way not to dredge up or discuss.  Maybe all of the people involved on both sides need to just walk away.  EmJay and Jerkstore especially.  I may get flamed for this post and you might tell me I wasn't here so it's not my business but I'm just stating the obvious.  I get laughing about the Wilma situation because it seems there wasn't any hurt or turmoil there, just harmless craziness.  But this just all seems sad to rehash.  I'm sorry if I make anyone mad with that statement.
