Walkers

For those with walkers...do you still get surprised when they walk across the room?

Chloe has been walking for a week now and I'll still see her standing in the middle of the room and wonder how the heck she got there.  When she's standing at the table then just turns and starts walking to something else it still surprises me...

Hope this goes away, or I'll be forever watching and clapping when she walks...she's stopped clapping when she walks and give me a look like whats the big deal when I do...

Re: Walkers

  • For me, I'm surprised at how well Liam walks. He only really falls down outside where the ground is uneven. Last night, I went to a park with a friend (she had her dog there, playing fetch), and Liam walked FAR away from us. We were curious how far he could walk before falling down. He totally walked about 40 feet away, and I ran and got him when he went around the corner of the park restroom facilities.

  • Yea...we're still in the "OH MY GOSH YOU'RE WALKING! YAY!" stage and then he starts clapping and falls down. I'm so in love with the little frankenstein walking :)

My dd has been walking for a little over a month now and I'm starting to get less surprised. You will get used to it!

I find it more funny when she walks into a room to greet you. She also just started saying, "hi!" and walks from room to room while we're all getting ready in the morning. It's cute. But I still am like, "oh hi baby! Nice to see you walking in here on me." :)
  • V has been walking for over a month now, so I'm starting to get used to the sight.  I do love seeing people who haven't seen her do it before watch her.  I makes me so proud.

  • We also call it the FRankenwalk! Yes it is surprising when they come around the corner walking instead of crawling.  Good to know you get used to it!
