Thirsties Duo AIO for newborns

I expect I will have a large-ish baby but even so I don't expect my OS stash to fit right away.  I can't find very many newborn reviews for the Thirsites Duo AIO size 1.  I keep finding reviews for the size 2 for toddlers but that doesn't help me.  I really want to know if they truly fit from day 1.  Have any of you used them on your newborns?

Re: Thirsties Duo AIO for newborns

  • I didn't use the AIO but I did use their Duo Diapers from day 1 and they fit just fine. DS came home from the hospital at 8#7.

I got the size 1's when my son was about 2 months and around 10 lbs and they fit great and were really easy to put on him. I never used them for night, I still used disposables we were gifted. The size 1's say they fit up to 18 lbs but really only fit well up to about 15 or 16 lbs.

  • The size 1 fit my first son perfectly from day 1 - he was 8#13 and built like a tank. Second son, however, was 6#15 and slow to gain weight, size 1 didn't fit him well for a couple weeks. It still fit long before any one-sizes did.

  • I liked them at first but now....They leak. The stitching turned brown from poop stain. pee seeps out of them. I want my money back.
  • Do these have the snap down for the cord?

I use them in 2 on my 12m old and I assume you are talking about the NEW AIO with the tunnel soaker... some of the responses seem to reference the older diapers. They do not have a turn down but they do run smaller than the other Thirsties duos IMO/E. I have not seen a size 1 or used it, but I would consider it for a future child. I love mine and they are our only nighttime diaper.
  • Thanks guys. These were exactly the kind of responses I was looking for.
