Hello everyone in bump land! DH and I lean more towards names that you don't hear everyday (we both have REALLY common names). I guess I'm just looking for a little reassurance that I"m not too far out in nutso land with my name choices. We've really only semi-decided on a girls name that we're interested in. And I'm wondering what some of you think. We're not dead set on anything, just know what kind of direction we might want to move towards (we have a while to go yet).
The girl's name that we're liking is Nova Presley.
No strange spellings, just something a little different. We wanted something strong, and different.
Be gentle! haha.
Re: Need some advice
I like Nova. it's different without being weird or trendy.
I don't like Presley, but it's just the mn so who cares what I think about that.

If you're wondering about my avatar...it's a fried pickle chip shaped like a fetus!
I have to agree.. Nova is just too much. It seems like a name for a dog to me.
Same with Presley.
It's not bad, but it's NMS. And I tend to like uncommon names. But what matters is you and your DH like it.
For some reason, a lot of people name their dogs Nova (even though it's a horrible name for a dog because it starts with "No," but no one ever listens to me. Hmpf.).
Other than that, Nova is okay. Presley is fine, too. I'm not a big fan, but at least everything is spelled right.
May I suggest an alternative name? How about Lenore?
I'm not a huge fan of Nova, but it's not terrible. I really hate Presley. I think of Presley as a trendy little kid name.
If you want really uncommon names, you might want to try looking at the Beyond the Top 1000 list on the SSA baby name list.
I don't like either name, sorry. Some unique girl names you may like-

I was going to suggest Nola as well!!! :-) Nova is just NMS...all I can think of is "Supernova". Presley is NMS either, but it's just the MN, so it doesn't really matter.
