Babies: 9 - 12 Months

Teeth coming in all spaced out?

My DD is 9 months old and has 6 teeth (7th is on its way).  They all look so spaced apart though...that happen with anyone else's LO?  I'm not worried I just find it strange!

Totally normal.  Google pictures of baby teeth and you'll see they are typically spaced apart.

  • It's normal. They'll move closer together as more teeth come in.

  • Normal, there is a lot of room in their mouths at this point. Andplusalso, the majority of people wear braces at one point or another so no biggie if they aren't straight.

  • Having spaces between the baby teeth is not only normal, it's a really good thing. It allows for room for the much larger adult teeth, making your LO less likely to need braces when she gets older.
