Ok, another CD ??

So annoying DDers - I know!! I was there once in your shoes!

 I used the BumGenius 4.0 tonight for the first time. I did wash everything last night and line dried the cover so I couldn't use it last night cause it was still wet. Don't you know last night was the first night he didn't soak through the Earth's Best? Go figure!

Anyway, question is - I don't know if I put it too tight. I felt like the 2nd snap in was too loose and the 3rd snap in was too tight...but I went with the snugger fit. What do you think?

Mom2Mack made me nervous that her LO didn't like the feeling in the CD...I hope tonight goes well.

I did like you said Rouens and put the 2 micro fiber in the pockets (did it before even realizing you posted this).

ETA: 1 more question - what does LO sleep in? Once I put that diaper on him, plus his onesie, then his feetie pj it was tight tight tight...we had a long ride home and he was already in his pjs so I didn't feel like trying to find another solution so I stuffed the poor guy in like a sausage...but was do you all do?

Yeah, I err on the side of tighter.  IDK about the bum genius ones specifically, but with mine I make sure to run my fingers around the band to the back, so the elastic is less stretched out (and therefore hopefully more comfy).

I don't think kids typically bug out when you switch, but if he usually STTN, when he pees he may jolt himself awake the first few times, since it is different.

Butt size is one bigtime drawback with CDs.  LO is an 18 'waist' in pants, but trips over them.  If we put her in a disposable though, all of a sudden she fits 12s perfectly.  We put her in 2 piece jammies and that's it.  We would anyway since they don't make the full zippered jammies in short sleeves & shorts, and it is way, way too hot.

Thanks Broc! It all turned out alright last night - he didn't wet through, STTN (apart from some crying here and there but I think that was teeth and he went right back to sleep on his own each time). I have my only diaper in the wash now so I can have it ready and dried for tonight again.

I'll probably cry if I see poop in there one morning though to be honest! LOL

I'm so happy to hear it went well last night! Hooray! It is scary to make that leap, I know. When we use pockets at night we use the 2 piece PJ's. Those stretchy jersey pants work great with CDs, so I even use them in the day. If you want a really good night diaper that is super absorbent try Old School Cool. (Remember our old bumpie friend MommaBear530? It is her store. You would want to put some fleece pants on over these, but they rock.

Last night we had leak thru again...think I'm going to pick up some Pampers Cruisers and give them a go before I invest any more in the CDs.

I'm kind of at a loss here...he's soaking through everything (and I'm in as big of a size as I can go in the DDs!)

Have you tried Pampers Baby Dry? DD is a super pee-er and wears them in a size 6 (the biggest they make). They *barely* hold, but they do hold.

I've never seen those! Just today I picked up Pampers Overnight diapers so we'll see how that goes. Last night he went in a Baby Dry size 5 and wet right through.

6 seems so big...how big is A??

Right now she's 24 lbs, but she's been wearing them for a loooong time (at least 6 months). Yeah, they're big and they come up above her belly button, but so far they're the only thing that gets the job done.
