technical question: creating those super cute sigs...

I've been all over the site, but can't figure out how to add in those sigs at the end of my postings. It's not under "my tools." And the few times I've gone to a place where I can create something, it looks like I have to cut and paste the HTML info into every posting. That couldn't be right, right? ANyone have any easy instructions on this?
