Plans for Mother's Day? (besides eating a pint of ice cream)

And also besides locking yourself in the house with a bottle of wine.  Where are the "safe places" for infertiles?  Do they even exist?

    We will be in Punta Cana with lots of cocktails :-)  We are avoiding DH's family events and we are staying at an all adult resort.  I'm hoping no one  wishes me a Happy M's Day at the resort like I got last year at breakfast, Home Depot etc.   No thank you.

    We were hoping to have a big celebratory month of May with Mother's Day, DH's 30th, our wedding anniversary, and a BFP.  Obviously, the BFN puts a damper on it all.  Damn IF.  I despise you.

    I told  DH several weeks ago this:

    I am not a mom

    I lost my mom

    and I refuse to be near your "mom" during this day.

    I am single wife that day (DH will be out gold mining that weekend)!! I plan to do my normal stuff. I am participating in a race, I will enjoy some post race mimosas. In the afternoon, I will be meeting DH and my family at the cemetery to have a small remembrance/service for my mom.

    The best part is that we will not do anything with MIL (DH listened)!!!! So excited!!!!!

    This.Sounds.AWESOME!!!  I hope you have a fantastic time!

    Mother's Day this year will be smack dab in the middle of my 2ww.  We will not be visiting either my parents or DH's parents so it will likely be a lazy, relaxing day at home...praying for a BFP.

    My Mum will be here from Australia so taking out MIL and Mum for the day with DH and BIL. I will also be expecting and avoiding comments from my Mum reminding me that this Mothers Day would have been my first..... she has told me this twice already........ I am already starting to feel sick over this day.

    Multiple ectopics, 2 failed IVF's
    IVF #1: Did not get to ET, embies all failed PGD (major chromosomal defects)
    IVF #2: We have 2 chromosomally perfect embies as a result of PGD (Boy/Girl) 1 failed the thaw (Girl) Transferred 1, yet ended as a c/p
    Thought it was the end of our TTC Journey 6/20/2012
    SHOCK BFP 9/28/2012: IT'S A BOY! and everything is normal !!!!!!

    Little A born 38w 2d on 05/23/13 and is a true miracle for this IF Vet!

    While this day sucks for us, I am blessed to still have my Mom who is an awesome friend and I love being with.  I am spending the day at a winery with her, dining and enjoying some glasses of the good stuff together.  I just figure this day is for her.

    And for the life of me, I can't figure out why MIL can't understand that I have my own Mom.  Every year she invites me to their gathering of ladies and sounds annoyed when I tell her I'll be with my Mom.  She even signs her email with capital MOM when she sends me that invite.  Whatever, I don't even call my step-parents Mom and Dad and I've known them since I was three, so get over it!

    So are you implying that eating a pint of ice cream is bad?!  Hmmm.... interesting.

    My mom lives 3.5 hours away and we just visited a couple weeks ago, so I doubt I'll see her.  DH's mom lives slightly over an hour away... DH hasn't mentioned anything, so who knows.  DH and I both have separate plans with friends the day before, so hopefully we can just chill at home on Mother's Day.

    IVF #6 planned for Spring 2013. Praying for our take home baby/ies.

    I plan on working most of the day.  Earning that hard earned money to pay off my 2 failed IVF cycles on the worst day of the year. .

    DHs mom acts the same way with me. We usually end up doing things together with both sets of parents so no one gets "offended" but I would much rather just hang out with my mom.

    I am not sure what we will all be doing this year but I always request to not go anywhere in public where mothers and their little children are running around everywhere making me cry. lol, we usually have brunch together at someone's house.

    We will be going out of town... this is one of those holidays that I will never be around for...still trying to decide where to go, it is not my 9/80 so we will probably just go somewhere close (San Antonio or Austin).  My mom is back in MI so I won't be able to spend the day with her which makes the day even more difficult.

    Hugs to all...I know it is such a hard day!

    I am AMA and all tests on H came back normal
    3 failed IVF with OE and 2 failed frozen DE cycles
    Last fresh hail mary DE cycle starting Feb 2013

    Well....since my Gdad might pass away soon....no one is talking about Mother's Day.

    But, my ER might be Friday the 11th and Dh and I have a rough plan to go to Canada for the weekend.

    So much is up in the air right now.

    I'll be working all day. Which is better than sitting around thinking about how i'm still not a mom. I hate this day, but I'm trying to focus on that fact that I should, at the very least, be celebrating my own mom.
