TTC After a Loss

Trouble losing weight after mc?

I miscarried and had my d and C almost 4 weeks ago. I wasn't doing any working out outside of walking for 3 months. I did not gain weight while pregnant but put on some right after (5lbs) and my clothes are way too tight. I took prometrium 2x vaginally daily during preg. As well as 850 mg of metformin(still on this). I am back to working out and eating right(eating was never bad) but still feel like a fat blob.

Anyone else had this issue? If so I would love advice.

Re: Trouble losing weight after mc?

  • I gained weight after my losses. I wasn't happy with myself and needed to make a change. I did the special k diet for two weeks and then I ate better and exercised more. I lost 15 pounds. I am too busy to count calories, but i still make an attempt to eat less and choose better foods. I use myfitnesspal to keep track of my weight. I will probably count exercise and calories again in the summer. GL.

  • I have also struggled to lose weight. I think a lot of it is bloat as it has been almost two months since my m/c and no signs of AF coming anytime soon.

It sucks--the last thing we need is to feel worse about ourselves with weight issues :( ((HUGS))

  • I've been having bloating issues as well, I think from hormonal fluctuations. I keep a close watch on what I eat/my weight and I've struggled with a few lbs recently. Both of my losses were early.

This is me exactly, too.  I've never had to worry about weight, i work out 4x/week and eat pretty healthy, and now i've got about 5 extra lbs that won't go away :(  I think it's just our hormones going crazy :/
