Ammonia Neutralizer Question

I know we've had a lot of ammonia talk today, so I'm making it worse...sorry.

I am going to give an ammonia neutralizer a try since I've been having such issues with ammonia lately.

My question is this:
Where in the wash routine do you use it?  Do you use it along with the detergent?  In the final rinse?  In hot water/warm/cold?

I checked the FAQs & didn't see anything mentioned (also checked the post below where the ammonia neutralizer was mentioned).

I put clean diapers in with the stuff, with hot water, and let it soak for an hour or two. Then I do a rinse, then a regular diaper wash with detergent.
