Its official, we are laundry fools!!
My mom's group actually had this as a QOTD and I was surprised by some of the answers. So, how do you sort your laundry?
I do a load each of darks, jeans, whites, reds (including purples, pinks, and oranges), and towels. Sheets get their own loads when we do them (ours in one load, the kids in another) and about every other week I do a load of just yellows as we seem to wear a lot of yellow clothing.
Re: Laundry Question #3
That's intense!
I do darks, whites, sheets, towels, baby stuff.
I do whites, sheets/towels, barn clothes and then everything else.
I like to keep it simple.
Darks, Lights/Whites (occasionally I'll do a whites only load and bleach that stuff), sheets, towels and jeans, and diapers.
Sometimes I'll throw all the clothes - darks, whites, jeans - in ONE load
I do whites (maybe even towels), baby, jeans/dark colors, and colors. I'll mix items especially if the load is small (such as regular white clothes with white towels).
Colors (Darks and Lights), Whites, Bedding/Towels, Work Clothes, Diapers
We wash whites, diapers, and bedding/towels on hot. Other stuff on cold. His stuff gets thrown in with ours.
We'll miss you sweet Debbie Girl (4.21.12) and sweet Cindy Girl (8.9.12)

That's funny because with four of us I can easily do two full size loads of darks each week, and a regular size load of the rest. Maybe I just have a small washer!
This! I throw it all in, wash it on cold, and hope for the best
If I have a brand new pair of jeans, or something bright red that I think will run in the first wash, I do run that item separately the first time. After that, it's fair game.
Oops! Wrong board! Sorry to interrupt haha!
Darks, whites, towels/bedding, and Lacey's clothes
If there's room while doing darks, I'll put the towels or bedding in with them. I'll also sometimes do my dark jeans separately so they won't bleed onto the other dark clothes.
this! it all gets thrown in together lol

1. Blacks, including dark colors like navy and jeans. DH wears a lot of back so I lays have enough for a full load and no matter what I do the wash water is always a dark grey.
2. Colors, usually DDs and my own clothes.
3. Whites
4. Towels, sheets (if there are any), rags, bibs, burp cloths, diaper liners if I've used non-CD safe diaper cream, etc.
XoXo
