I'm trying at the moment, but Saoirse will only drink water from her cup. Not sure what to do about it, but I'd love to hear other people's ideas. Has anyone else tried putting formula in a cup?

I tried this morning and she only took about half of it.

DS will drink water out of his cup, but not milk. I mostly nurse him and don't plan to cut that out until 18 months at the earliest so I'm not in a rush to force him to drink out of a cup.
DD was in daycare and took bottles all day long. We offered the sippy with milk or water at every meal, but left it up to her to transition. Right around a year she started drinking mostly from the cups during the day and by 15 months she was done with the bottles altogether. We are pretty laid back about letting the kids get there when it feels natural to them, although had she not switched by 18 months we would have been pushing harder.
We've started giving him water in a cup. We haven't tried a sippy just a child-size open cup that I hold/help him drink from.
He's been fascinated by us drinking from cups since ~4m. Sometime between 6-7m we started to give him drinks of water from our cups and he liked it so we decided to get him his own and he gets some at the end of each meal to help rinse the food off his teeth.
We haven't figured out exactly how we're going to transition off bottles but he only takes them, begrudgingly, when I'm at work so I'm not too worried about him giving them up. We will probably start offering BM in an open cup with meals after 1 year and be done with bottles by 18m. I also plan to keep nursing part time until 2yrs.
