~*MSPI Moms Weekly Check-In*~

Welcome! This is a check-in for moms who are/were on a dairy free and/or soy free diet due to their LO?s intolerance. The check-ins will be posted every Monday morning on the Breastfeeding board and XP?d to the Food Allergy board. I will RP a link to the check-in on the Breastfeeding board on Monday evenings for the nighttime posters, if the check-in isn't on the first page of posts. If you'd like to join the group, just post an intro here and dive in!

QOTW: What are some resources you've used to learn about MSPI/the MSPI diet? And how was everyone's weekend?

Re: ~*~*MSPI Moms Weekly Check-In*~*~

  • Hi!  I'm new to this group of mamas.  DD was just diagnosed MSPI last week so I'm on my first week of the diet.  We're still trying to clean out our systems so that we have a healthy and happy baby.

QOTW:  Some friends treated me to Panera on Friday and I wasn't sure what I could eat but this link was helpful for me:

Welcome! I hope you find our check-in helpful!

QOTW: I like the FAAN website b/c it has cheat sheets you can print out to help when you're reading labels at the grocery store.  You can also sign up to receive emails from them about foods that are recalled due to undeclared allergens on the labels.

I found this page really helpful in learning just what to avoid that may contain dairy/soy:

The blog Dairy and Soy Free Mom has lots of great recipes as does MSPI Mama.

This board and the food allergy board have been really helpful. I also take my pumping time at work to just google things (no computer in here so it gives me lots of free time. Thank you smart phone!).

  • I'm new to the group as well!  My DS was also MPSI, so although I've gone through it before, it's still a difficult and daunting transition.  Glad I found a group to interact with this time :-)

Hi - I'm new also.  This is my third week and LO's eczema is doing a little better. But she still sleeps horribly and scratches like crazy.  I have an appointment with the allergist on Thursday to determine if any else is going on (she also wakes up with swollen eyes sometimes and congestion).
