My doctor said I have low fluid and they need to keep monitoring me to determine if I need to goon bed rest. Anybody have any advice on how to get fluid levels up?
when I was 20 weeks I had low fluid just from dehydration. For 2 weeks (until my next u/s) I drank 80-100oz of fluid a day total- water, juice, soda soup, cereal all included. Once my water was fine I aimed for a the 64 oz of water plus an extra 8 oz whenever you are doing light activity. I was told to take it easy as well.
So things might be totally different this far in the game, but I know we require ALOT of water. So you may not be getting enough. My 3 water bottles a day arent enough for me anymore. I have to really focus on drinking enough.
I was also told that my fluid was a little low. My doctor said that they don't know why but spending time in water seems to help for some reason. She recommended relaxing time in the tub or in the pool. Good luck!
Mine's still normal but the low end of normal and they told me to increase my fluid intake and to try to take it easy... they check my level once a week at my NSTs though

I had "low fluid" with DD and all I was asked to do was up my water in take. Over the course of monitoring they determined no change in the levels as such, the "lower level" was considered normal for me.
I didn't experience any "wetness" or leaking so I was confident that I wasn't leaking fluid .... the monitoring confirmed that.
Just make sure you aren't constantly wet above and beyond.
I would suggest increasing your water intake and let the monitoring happen and whatever they deem necessary is what it is.
I just got back from the doctors and finally found out that my problem was low amniotic fluid. They told me to drink a lot of water like gallons of water. I actually have to drink a gallon of water tonight and then I have another ultrasound on Friday to check my fluids.
