Hi ladies, just wondering if anyone has this bag and what you think about it. I know it's pricey but I love designer bags. Is it worth it. Thanks in advance.
As much as you might like designer bags, think about what you're going to be using this for. Storing vomit-covered baby clothes, leaky bottles, etc. Is it honestly worth spending that kind of money on a diaper bag?

I also love designer handbags but I would not spend that much on a diaper bag. I am actually considering a Coach Bag and will probably get one from eBay or something similar. They have some of the older styles for $100-200, and while that is still expensive, I know I am VERY rough on bags and Coach has a warranty on their bags for repair instead of having to buy a new bag. This warranty lasts the life of the bag. With my first, I went through about 3 bags so spending the $100 isn't a horrible idea for me for the new baby.
I love designer bags and got an awesome patent leather coach diaper bag from the outlet store. ($425) I'm excited about using it. My BFF (who's also a designer bag junkie) is getting me the Dooney & Bourke diaper bag... But personally $1000 for a Gucci diaper bag wouldn't fly with DH...
To each their own! If you can afford it and it's your style... BY ALL MEANS! Nothing wrong with a little designer class while totting LO.
I had a Coach bag and used it for 2 years, never once got poop, puke, baby food, formula, or anything else disgusting on it. I always wonder WTF people are doing to their purses or diaper bags if they end up with all of that nasty stuff on them!
If you want a Gucci bag, go for it. I have a variety of larger purses that I plan to rotate through as diaper bags this time around, and I'm not worried at all about getting any nasty fluids on them.
I'm going to get the Kate spade black and white striped diaper bag and a matching wallet and just forgo a purse. I usually carry a very big bag for work anyways. My boss did 2u2 just lugging the Louis vuitton work out bag for both her purse and diaper bag and she still uses it to this day
I don't have one but DH's cousin has one- it's adorable, but she actually had to get a back up bag to carry around AS WELL because it wasn't really all that useful. Kate Spade has some seriously cute ones that look a bit bigger and more functional and actually have matching handbags you can purchase.
I know it's a super unpopular brand but we had a really nice (looking) baby bag that was $$ and kept breaking- finally I ran to the store quick (because I needed one in a pinch) and ended up getting a Vera Bradley baby bag- It wasn't nuts, I think it was $110- but it was not her normal patterned bag- it was just plain blue and its amazingly functional. Here it is- it's a little less $$ now (I bought it a year and a half ago)- it's microfiber on the outside and covered in plastic on the inside (it EASILY cleanable and spills won't ruin it).
I have some really expensive designer bags (LV, Chloe, Balenciaga etc), but for a diaper bag , I don't think that's wise. Have you seen the Marc by marc Jacobs diaper bags? they are cute and way less than the Gucci one. I know a lot on here like Coach, but I am guessing that its not really your style, so maybe check out Marc by Marc or Kate spade. I think Rebecca Minkoff has a diaper bag too. I was thinking of a Longchamp Le pliage, but they don't have pockets (they are super light though).

Yeah but Coach isn't really considered high end..if I got puke on a coach bag I wouldn't care. The OP looks like she wants a premium designer bag, not mid range.
I wish. I love that bag. After two years with my DD we never got poop or snacks or milk or anything in our bag. So really again, I'm not sure what people do with theirs to get them so dirty. Also. Ours lasted well beyond a year. In fact, if ours was larger I be planning to reuse it but alas. Cannot. The Gucci is beautiful. And of course they can always be repaired. Ive sent my handbag in for cleaning and handle repair before.

I hear you on wanting a designer diaper bag! Coach is really NMS and Gucci is not in my current budget . I wanted the Tory Burch diaper bag but even then I can't spend the money, I was thinking of getting a Tory Birch Ella tote to use as a diaper bag. I know I'm going to be "toting" around a LOT of stuff between my two DDs And they seem very roomy for the large tote. Then I would just get one of those "Diaper clutches" to keep things organized. Also, ditto PP's who said Marc by Marc or kate spade bags. I saw a few really cute ones by them on zappos/ piperlime.

I could see using a Longchamp if you get a "diaper clutch" to keep diapers and wipes organized..maybe a zip lock with another outfit and you should be set. That is my plan if I get the Tory "Ella" tote. But, I am also BFing so I won't have to have a spot for bottles, I don't know your plans for feeding
I never got any raunchy stuff on my diaper bag. What is it that you guys do toget poo and crap like that all over it?
Sorry, I have no experience with the Gucci bag but I say if you can afford it and really like it, go for it. I don't see why people see the need to criticize your choice of diaper bag. I personally am not into designer anything, just wondering why people can't just answer the d*mn question without questioning why someone would buy something so expensive.
Well, I guess at least you are not considering using an Hermes Birkin Bag for a diaper bag!!! Or dog carrier! I've seen that before and that really blows my mind. If you have the money then go for it.

Thanks for the rec..I was seriously looking at this one -- Eliza is my frontrunner for a girl's name, so I thought that was appropriate if it was a girl!! I have a repeat anatomy scan because they couldn't get all the measurements so hopefully I find out boy or girl this week!

I bought a Kate spade with my first, I think it was close to $400. I used the heck out of it and am excited to use it again for #2. I liked that it was a nylon material inside and out that I could easily wipe clean if I needed to, which I never did. Not sure why people think your bag is automatically going to be ruined. I also liked that although it was labeled as a diaper bag, I could use it as an everyday bag or airplane tote on any other occasion if need be, so it was very versatile. Mine was just quilted black on the outside and green on the inside.
Dnt feel bad for getting an expensive bag, if you want it, buy it.
