DD has been mimicking coughing, laughing, and facial expressions for awhile now, but in the last couple weeks, she's started mimicking when people clear their throats. Even strangers, and she does it really loud! It cracks me up when we're in the store, someone clears their throat, and DD clears her throat all noisily, too!
What does your LO mimic? Any funny stories?
Re: Mimicking
She mimicks a lot of stuff and now they are just part of what she does!!
Her stinky face?? yup...it cracks us up and she does it even mor!
gagging when I smell her poo? yup! She even gagged on our way out to meet A yesterday when we drove by the paper mill, It was hilarious!! (which by the way, her gagging is her sign to me that she's pooped and needs to be changed so it's awesome!)
She's done the "clear my throat" before too, but not as often anymore. Babies are little sponges!!
She tries to say "get out" now, since I'm constantly telling the dogs to get out of her room... She yells "GEH GOW!" and like clenches her fists at them.. it's hilarious.

DS will flip through his little baby books while he plays alone and babble like he's reading. I've tried to get it on video, but by the time I get it turned on he stops...I would love to capture it - it's so cute that he's copying us reading to him!
Ha! Hilarious!! Maybe she will watch him walk and start crawling!
Now that is something I can hope for! We keep putting her on her stomach, and she picks her head up, looks right at us, and falls, rolls herself onto her back, and lifts her arms so we'll pick her up. So yeah, she could use some lessons from the dog!
Try sitting on the floor with her belly atop one of your legs (can you visualize that?). It'll help teach her that she needs to raise her core. Then work, in the same position, on getting her up in her hands and knees.
Ohh okay thank you so much! That makes sense! I will be trying that tomorrow. She will not be a happy baby, but I'll tell her it's your fault
No worries. Being a teacher, I'm used to being blamed for children's misery.
Well, she has always given people to same dirty look that I do. Now she likes to hold her fake phone to her ear and make this noise that I think is her trying to say "hello." She also fake laughs when you try to do something funny, like she is humoring you so something. I think she is mimicking what we do to her when she does something silly.
