So I'm at work and my co-worker is having a rough day (repeated bladder infections, fights w boyfriend, boyfriend not showing much interest in sex). She had known that had taken off work for m/c and d&c but never knew why bc I hadn't felt up to sharing quite yet. I'm actually in a pretty good mood today, felt comfortable enough to open up and told her about it all. I really was trying to relate to the lack of physical intimacy since d&c and how it's rough in relationships. She proceeds to tell me that bc of not having sex and being nauseous (sp?) from bladder infections, she knows exactly how feel after d&c and pregnancy! Like I said, I'm in a good mood but it was funny to me and I don't in anyway think she was trying to be hurtful. People are just funny sometimes...

4 Losses (2003, 2008, Apr 2012, & Oct 2012)
All RPL and IF testing with multiple REs = normal

5 IUIs = BFN

    Sometimes people say stupid things.  I'm glad it didn't ruin your good mood.

    I guess "funny" is one way of describing it. I would have gone with a much different word. I'm glad you didn't let her stupid comment ruin your day. :)
    It was a rough road, but Arlo Daniel was born April 1, 2013—and our second rainbow is due October 12, 2014.

    This.  People really say insensitive things sometimes.

    I think people want to think they can relate to us- but unless they've been through it they really can't. So sorry you had to deal with that today...

    This. It sounds like she was trying to be sympathetic, so I'm happy it didn't upset you!

    You are a stronger person than I am.  I think I can let things people say go to a point, but this I would have to say something to, even if it was "i dont think so" or "not really" or something of that nature.  I hope to someday be more like you and be able to find the humor in situations like this.

    Thanks for the support ladies. I'm actually glad I just brushed it off bc she came into my office shortly after crying bc basically her BF sounds like an abusive douche. So, me saying something probably would have sent her over the edge

    I am glad that you took it well, I don't know if I would have taken it that well.  Some people are just so ignorant.
