Success after IF

eli is really good at ignoring me and not looking at me

he does look to me and interact with me etc....but his speech delay and then the fact that there are SO many times probably 80% of the time that when i call his name he totally ignores me and when i'm trying to tell him something that he TOTALLY avoids my gazes makes me  bit worried...my mom and everyone i know says he's fine...just a busy stubborn boy.....do others with boys have this issue?

Re: eli is really good at ignoring me and not looking at me

  • I know that P is a bit younger, but if I call his name he rarely responds by looking at me if he is focused on something else. The times when he isn't in the middle of something else he will look at me or come to me if I call his name.

    Unexplained Infertility

After two Clomid cycles, three injectable IUI cycles, two IVFs, two miscarriages, and one lap surgery, IVF #2 has brought us our little boy!

  • My DD is close to Eli's age.  If she's paying attention to something more interesting than me (i.e. almost anything in her mind) It takes a lot of "Bea!" before she'll turn to look.   If Caillou is on - I could bring in a box full of puppies and she wouldn't even look over.

  • ditto PPs that if he is distracted and engaged with something, he won't look if i call his name. sounds like he's just a busy toddler. =)

  • I've noticed for a few months now that if we say Jax there is zero response.  It's not until we break out JACKSON that he will look our way and that isn't 100% of the time, especially if he is doing something more interesting.
