Help with brushing teeth

Hello ladies,

My daughter is 14 months old and has never been a fan of getting her teeth brushed, but we've been doing our best.  However, the last week or so she's been sticking her tongue out over her bottom teeth and it's almost impossible to get at them.  Any suggestions for getting her to move her tongue?

We let DS do it himself - he isn't great at it, but he has gotten better with time. I put him in his highchair and we brush together and tries to copy me. I try to get in there at the end, but usually he won't let me. If he does let me do it, I give him a lot of praise, and that always makes him happier about the whole thing

Does your DD mimic sounds or facial expressions?

We get DS (obviously he's quite a bit older, so I'm not sure this'll help) to say "aaaahhhh" when we brush his back teeth & "eeeeee" when we brush his front teeth.

EDIT: nope, I just got it. Yuck, that would be messier than the whole IUD thing!

I let DS hold my toothbrush and brush my teeth while I brush his. Once I'm done, I give him his toothbrush and he attempts to brush his own teeth.

We do pretty much this.  Except he's a ham and loves getting his picture taken.  So instead of "eeeeee," it's "cheeeeeeese."  Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't.  Just like everything other thing with a toddler
