The movie got me thinking--how long were you engaged before you finally tied the knot?

We were engaged for 6 months.

We got engaged on Christmas day 2010.... still not married yet.

PE & Health. He's endorsed k-12 but has yet to do anything other than subbing. He just had an interview for a middle school pe position for a 1 year contract for next year....we'll see how that goes.

18 months.  We'd only known each other for ~6 months before getting engaged though, so we didn't mind a little extra "getting to know you" time.  We were also renovating his house (like, gutted to the studs reno) so we needed the time to save up.

Well we never got engaged. we knew each other for 9 years and dated for a year. Then one day we decided to go to the Bahamas and get married. Due to some paperwork issues we had to wait till we got home.

We dated for 5 months and were engaged for 6 months. We had been friends for about a month before we started dating, so we got married almost exactly a year to the day from when we met. Best decision I've ever made. We had no reason to wait any longer.

3 months...my husband proposed when my dad, who had been battling cancer for 4 years told us he was stopping chemo.  He wanted my dad to be at our wedding.  We had been dating 2 1/2 years.  Got engaged in March, married in June, and my dad passed away in September.  I will cherish my husband forever for this!  We will celebrate our 8th anniversary this year ;c)
