Stupid body, part 2

So CD12 ultrasound showed no response to 30mg of Tamoxifen.  :-(   The largest follicle was 8mm and my lining was 6mm.  The doctor who did the u/s told me to set up an appointment with my regular RE for a consult about starting injectibles.  Because he's the head doc (and so awesome), his first available was May 16.  So this cycle too is a complete f-ing wash.  Dammit.

I really had high hopes for this one because I had started acupuncture, eating whole foods, and "trying to relax".  So stupid.  I tried not to hope, but I was still floored when he said my ovaries didn't respond at all.

* TTC since 2010; Me-36, DH-40
* Diagnosis of PCOS in 2011 (suspected since teens)
* Miscarraige September 2011; XY with Trisomy 15
*November 2011 - January 2012 - 3 cycles of Femora - BFN x 3
* 2/12 and 4/12 Tamoxifen - no response
Planned to start Follistim for COH August '12 but...
Surprise!! BFP! And it's a girl!!

    I am normally just a lurker but I follow this board a lot. I am on my first month of clomid now. But, I was wondering why you are on Tamoxifen?

    Supposedly, it has the same estrogen-hiding effect as Clomid, without negatively impacting your cervical mucous.

    * TTC since 2010; Me-36, DH-40

    Oh ok! Thanks, I was just curious! I've only heard of it for breast cancer patients.
