a possible name?

I think DH and I are pretty much decided on Eldon as a first name- yes- it's a bit out there, but its a legitamate name...  What do you think of this name combo?

Eldon Leo F... (last name sounds like Frisbee)

Leo is a combo of my dad (Leonard) and grandpa (Leon) names

 but the initials would be ELF... to weird?

I haven't run the middle name option by my DH yet and I have a feeling it will be vetoed due to the initials... but WDYT?

As long as the initials don't spell a swear word, I think anything goes. ELF is just sort of quirky, not offensive or negative.

I like it.  I really do.    I don't think the ELF thing will be a problem.  I grew up with a girl who's initials were EEL (her last name was Lee actually) and she always thought of it as an interesting tid-bit about herself.  Besides, ELF could be a cute nn for him when he is really little.

I don't think there's anything weird about the initials ELF. It's not a bad word or anything.

I've never been one to care about initials unless they are incredibly crass or offensive. I wouldn't even notice most folks' initials. I think you're good.

I've never heard Eldon before, I really like it.

And I wouldn't really worry about the initials since they don't spell something bad.

I think Leo is a great middle name pick, as long as your DH is okay with honoring two of your relatives and none of his. Mine doesn't like family names because he thinks they exclude one side of the family.

 This is why we don't usually even think about family names.  Knowing my MIL she would get all butt-hurt over not having anyone named after her, and would be snarky about it until forever, so we just eliminated the issue.

I like it! I don't see anything wrong with ELF. I only have a problem with initials if they spell out something rude or offensive. ELF is kind of cute.
