I have never had one. I don't think I could ever have one, but I really don't think you ever know what you'd do until you're in the situation. I would never, ever have one just because I had an "oopsie", but for medical reasons, I just don't know. I just hope I'd never be in that situation.

Totally get where you're coming from. I dont think I could ever do it...even for medical reasons.

I don't think I could either, but I guess I can just never say never. There are so many tragic stories out there, I just suppose I can't say never in case one of those was me or someone I loved. Idk if that made any sense.

I don't think I can answer this.  I have never been in a situation where it would be an option.  But, can't say what I would do unless I was put in a situation where I would have to make a decision.

I am pro-choice and feel that no one should be able to tell a woman what to do with her body.  I also don't think its fair for me to say what I would or wouldn't do.  Let's face it, if I've never been there, I don't know what I would do.  This is just my humble opinon.

I had one for medical reasons. I didn't want him to suffer any longer. I knew he was going to die that year; the only thing that changed was the day.

You are so strong for making that decision. It must have been so difficult. I know DH and I had actually talked about that same scenario had it occurred even before ttc. It wouldn't be easy,but after watching my brother suffer from severe disabilities for 16 years I couldn't go through that again with my own child.

Huge hugs. This just broke my heart for you all over again. So glad you've got a beautiful daughter & another perfect baby on the way.

I havent had one, I would given the right situation for sure. Im a huge fan of life but lets face it, sometimes its just not the right time.

I feel this way. You can't say what you will do unless you are in that situation. I hope I will choose to keep the child but I don't know what I might do if I knew that the child will die painfully.

there have been studies that show that if you imagine how you want to react in a situation (create a plan of action for an emergency , plan how to avoid junk food for example) you are more likely to follow that  path that you want.

These may seem trivial by comparison to the painful choice of abortion but just by stating what you want to do you are have already changed how your mind is wired.

True, but there are soooo many variables in a termination situation. And, esp with medical termination, they are for conditions the parents didn't even know existed. Or they didn't know the details surrounding the condition, and how that could impact future fertility if carried to term and the health of the mother.
