Had My 2nd Opinion RE appointment.

It was a long appointment with lots of information and education.  RE wants to do a 24 hour motility test on DH since we didn't have that with his first SA.  His numbers are pretty good but motility was 5% and the RE wants to repeat it since he's so close to the normal cut off.  He recommended a post-coital test and adding in progesterone for my LP issues.  The most shocking thing was when he told us our m/c was a blighted ovum and there had been no fetal pole.   My RE never told me that but we were so upset at that appt I'm not sure we really asked.  The new RE said he would have done a D&C so they could test the tissue.  My current RE was really opposed to doing a D&C b/c of the additional risks.

 I am strongly leaning towards switching to this doctor.  He seemed like he was paying more attention and thinking critically about what was going on, whereas I feel like I have to keep reminding my current RE of my status and I think he's only looking at my chart for 2 seconds before he walks in the room.  

The u/s today showed really thin lining so we are opting for a postcoital test this cycle instead of IUI #2. I am glad we went for a 2nd opinion, I feel a little less hopeless about having an Unexplained IF diagnosis.

I think if you like the new one, switch! He seems great and you sound more comfortable with him. And really, that's the most important thing.

You should switch to the one you like more and are more comfortable with. This one sounds like he spent more time with you!

I agree with all the other ladies, go with your gut. It sounds like you had a great second opinion.
