Does anyone have a backpack diaper bag? I need to get a new diaper bag, and I really want to get a backpack to keep my hands free. If you have one, which do you recommend? Thanks!
I got a Jujube Packabe when DD2 was born. It can be carried as either a messenger bag or backpack.
It was a complete lifesaver when DD2 was little, but now I tend to carry a pouch with changing supplies and that's about it, unless we're doing something like a trip to the zoo, or church, or one of DD1's soccer games.
I prefer to travel light, although I still love the bag and use it several times a week. I have a much smaller messenger bag/purse that I use daily.
I looked a diaper bag backpacks, but I didn't see the benefit of them as opposed to a regular backpack. They were a lot more expensive though. I just got a regular backpack and made sure it had several zippered compartments and net pockets for cups in the side. It's worked out great. I used it for DS1 on our three week cross-country trip when he was four months old, and I'm still using it over two years later with DS2.
I have the Baby Bee Eglan bag in pink swirl and love it. I find it much easier to find things and it has more pockets than a regular backpack...it's also cuter.
We have a Petunia Picklebottom boxy backpack, but I always end up just using my college North Face backpack because the contoured shoulder straps are comfier.
